Positive psychology is about the relationship between mental health and happiness. Traditionally, psychology has been dealing with subjective pain and how to relieve it. As a consequence, the concept of cure for a patient involved for him to reach some "neutral" psychological state where pain had receded or disappeared. Beyond this neutral state and on some sort of a continuum from pathological to normal, Positive Psychology is interested in the other end of the spectrum: happiness.
